November 18 - November 19, 2010 | New York, New York

NextGen:Charity is the production of two friends very active in the charity scene. Ari Teman, comedian and founder of the award-winning, international volunteer organization, JCorps, and Jonah Halper, lifelong fundraiser turned non-profit strategist for hire.

It was during a lunchtime discussion of non-profits that we decided we were fed-up with seeing charities make the same costly mistakes, waste tremendous amounts of money, and fail to connect with donors and those needing support.

We looked to conferences like Gel and TED and said "We need that for non-profits." And thus was born NextGen:Charity.

NextGen:Charity is a two day experience. On Day 1, leaders of non-profits (our attendees) will hear from the best in business, marketing, management, social media, and entrepreneurship (See our speaker list, below). They'll hear from folks outside their field and hone their out-of-the-box thinking. On Day 2, they'll be given access to leading experts through workshops and discussion series.

We hope NextGen:Charity will inspire revolutions in efficiency and innovation in non-profit work, so we can help more people, more effectively.
