Colorado Trust

Mission:
To advance the health and well-being of the people of Colorado.
Background:
The Colorado Trust was established in 1985 with proceeds from the sale of PSL Healthcare Corporation in Denver. The Trust supports health issues in Colorado through its Accessible/Affordable Health Care initiative, which aims to promote health, prevent disease, address medical needs of the underserved, and strengthen healthcare services. The organization's other main initiative — Strengthening Families — addresses the needs of children and youth in Colorado, advances quality mental health care, and serves aging adults.
Outstanding Feature:
During the summer, the Trust revamped its Web site to better communicate its work to grantees, the general public, and others interested in its programs. One new feature allows the Trust to automatically send an e-mail to audience members when new items are posted to the site. On the sign-up page for the service, visitors can designate specific interest areas to receive announcements for funding opportunities and Trust publications.
