Background:
A project of the American Academy of Pediatrics, HealthyChildren.org is an online platform designed for parents and caregivers that offers interactive tools and personalized information on child health and a host of other topics related to family life. Supported by the academy's network of sixty thousand pediatricians, with scientific research backing its recommendations, the site includes information on AAP programs, activities, policies and guidelines, publications, and other resources.

Outstanding Web Features:
Registered users can create a profile on the HealthyChildren.org Web site and receive personalized recommendations for their family, submit a questionto the online pediatrician, and sign up to receive e-newsletters featuring news and announcements from HealthyChildren.org. The site also features a pediatrician referral service; a KidsDoc Symptom Checker; growth charts; immunization schedules; articles and resources by topic: ages and stages, health and nutrition, safety and prevention, and family life; and an online bookstore.
