Background:
Launched in April, the Land Portal is an online platform that aggregates existing information on land governance from around the Web and facilitates the posting of information not yet available online. Maintained by the International Land Coalition, in partnership with Landtenure.info, the site aims to become the central reference point for land-related information on the Internet.

Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the Land Portal can search data by document type, organization, location, or language; create their own user profile; browse other user profiles; and subscribe to the site's RSS or Twitter feeds. Registered users can start and join discussions, comment on information that has been posted by other users, and send messages to each other. Information on the site is available in French, Spanish, and English.
