Mission:
To spotlight successes in improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

Background:
Sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Michigan NightLight was developed by the Detroit-based Issue Media Groupto highlight the efforts of those working in Michigan to positively impact the lives of at-risk children and offer the visions and viewpoints of local nonprofit leaders. The site encourages visitors to learn from and applaud the solutions that communities are cultivating while also questioning social norms and taking action.

Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the Michigan NightLight site can browse listing of local programs, "bright ideas", and leaders who are making a difference; learn more about key issues such as education, fitness and sports, food, and health care and wellness; keep up with recent news; and explore related research and reports. Updated weekly, the site also connects users to the organization's Twitterand Facebookprofile pages.
