Milano Nonprofit Management Knowledge Hub
Mission:
To provide information and knowledge to teachers and students of nonprofit management and members of nonprofit organizations that cannot easily afford nonprofit management education resources.
Background:
The abundance of online information about starting and managing nonprofits can be overwhelming to nonprofit administrators. In an effort to pinpoint the most helpful resources, the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy launched the Milano Nonprofit Management Knowledge Hub in 2000 as a consumer's guide to the best resources on the Web for nonprofit managers, researchers, teachers, students, fundraisers, grantmakers, and job seekers. The Hub includes hundreds of annotated articles, guides, research reports, and links to other organizations.
Outstanding Feature:
The site, which was recently redesigned, categorizes Web sites by profession and interest: Arts Management, Board Members, Community Development Managers, Fundraisers, Grantmakers, Job Seekers, Leaders and Managers, Researchers, Strategic Communications, and Students. Within each of those categories, visitors can sort links by the quality of information, quantity, how easy the site is to navigate, and an overall ranking using those parameters. Annotated links are also searchable by keyword.
