Background:
OptINnow was launched by Opportunity International, a nonprofit organization serving more than 1.2 million entrepreneurs worldwide, with microfinance organizations in twenty-seven countries. Individuals and groups make donations, which are provided as loans to entrepreneurs in developing communities across the globe. OptINnow manages each loan while offering the recipients business training and financial services. After an entrepreneur repays her loan, OptINnow awards the money to another entrepreneur. This process is repeated each time a donation is made, enabling funders to help improve the lives of the original recipient as well as those of the next entrepreneur and future recipients.

Outstanding Web Features:
Before making a gift, visitors to the OptINnow Web site can search a list of entrepreneurial projects in need of funding or explore an interactive impact timeline. Each entrepreneur has a profile, which includes project information, a list of donors funding the project, and suggested clients. Visitors also can send a gift card to friends and family and start a group to fund loans together. For new users, the site provides a video that describes how funding works.
