Background:
The Dayton Foundation's searchable online scholarship directory contains information about more than 120 scholarships available through endowed funds established at the foundation. Most scholarships in the directory are open to all students regardless of high school attended or intended college major or career interest. The database does include several scholarship funds that assist dependents of employees of particular companies.

Outstanding Feature:
Located in a new section of the Dayton Foundation web site, entitled "For Youth," the directory can be searched by the name of the scholarship, high school the student attended, county in which the student lives or attends school, and/or college major or career interest. For each search, the directory will generate a list of potential scholarships for which the student may be eligible to apply. Each scholarship listed will include a short description of the fund and why it was established, the dollar amount awarded, criteria for award selection, and whom to contact for more information.
