TechBridge
Mission:
To ensure that all nonprofits can use technology to better serve their communities.
Background:
Established in 2000, TechBridge supplies Atlanta-area nonprofits with technology resources and know-how to support their mission, enhance communications with funders and donors, and improve operating efficiency. Its services — including technology planning, custom Web site design, database development, and software selection — are scaled to each organization's needs and ability to pay; and TechBridge educational programs help nonprofit leaders stay current on technology trends and resources available to them. An affiliate of the NPower network of nonprofit technology-assistance providers, TechBridge has facilitated donations of more than $2 million in Microsoft software to its members. In 2005, it completed more than 120 technology projects for eighty-five nonprofit clients and saved the local nonprofit community more than $2 million through subsidized consulting fees. With support from Hewlett Packard and Quality Technology Services, TechBridge provides free Web site hosting and e-mail services to more than one hundred nonprofits.
Outstanding Web Features:
In addition to case studies of successes, the TechBridge Web site features information on its services, technology education series, and the annual Technology Innovation Award. The site also provides news, videos, and lists of clients and members.
