Too Small to Fail

Too Small to Fail

Mission:
To improve the health, well-being, and learning of young children so that more of America's children are prepared to succeed in the twenty-first century.

Background:
A joint initiative of Next Generation and the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, Too Small to Fail works to promote new research on the science of children's brain development, early learning, and health, and helps parents, businesses, and communities take action consistent with that research to ensure that every child in America has an opportunity to succeed. Led by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the organization uses social media and other digital tools to empower parents to track their progress in improving their children's lives.

Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the site can watch videos of the Close the Word Gap campaign, which encourages talking, reading, and singing to young children as a way of building their vocabulary; or stay abreast of the latest research on early childhood development, creativity in children, and the importance of active play via the site's blog. Parents and caregivers also can download resources designed to support the healthy physical, cognitive, and emotional development of young children (i.e., 0 to 24 months, 12 to 24 months, and 24 to 36 months). The site also offers limited resources in Spanish.
