Mission:
To empower and serve as a hub for the youth climate movement, which aims to build its political power, harness its collective energy, amplify its message, and advance a vision for a clean, just, and sustainable future.

Background:
A project of the Energy Action Coalition, We Are Power Shiftis a grassroots-driven online community that offers activists a forum for "respectful, thoughtful, friendly debate" and a platform to share resources, swap stories, strengthen relationships, and showcase the youth climate movement. Campaigns include calling for environmental justice, divestment from fossil fuels, an end to hydraulic fracturing, action against the tar sands oil pipeline, and building a green economy.

Outstanding Web Features:
Visitors to the site can keep up to date via the organization's blog, browse featured posts for each campaign, and learn about Power Shift 2013, an event that hopes to convene more than ten thousand youth leaders in Pittsburgh this October. Visitors can also search for and add a campus or community organization to an interactive map, share stories from their respective campaigns, and/or apply to the Power Shift 2013 Fellows Program.
