2020 Green 2.0 Transparency Report Card
An annual report from Green 2.0 finds measurable increases in racial and gender diversity in the full-time staffs, senior staffs, and boards of large environmental organizations and funders in 2020. The 2020 Green 2.0 Transparency Report Card found that, of the forty largest NGOs and forty largest foundations focused on the environment, only thirty-five nonprofits and eight foundations had voluntarily submitted organizational diversity data to GuideStar by Candid. Among the organizations reporting diversity data, the number of full-time staff, senior staff, and board members of color increased significantly between 2017 and 2020; the number of women also increased significantly among senior staff and board members but only moderately among full-time staff. The report provides detailed data for each NGO and foundation, including the percentage of people of color and of women in each category for each year from 2017 to 2020.
