Alwaleed Philanthropies launches effort to train Saudi women lawyers
Alwaleed Philanthropies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) to build a joint program for training female lawyers in the field of data, artificial intelligence, and technologies that will help launch the first Saudi female lawyers specializing in data.
The agreements were signed to advance the foundation’s Waeya initiative, which is aimed at legally empowering Saudi women, promoting legal awareness, providing consultations, adopting cases, representing women before courts and competent authorities, and training male and female lawyers.
To that end, the agreements will help launch a comprehensive program designed to raise awareness and digital knowledge and qualify national cadres to further the digital transformation process. In addition, they will help empower trainees in the field of personal data protection in accordance with international practices and related professional licenses.
