Atlanta Ballet Receives $2 Million From Goizueta Foundation
The Atlanta Ballet has announced a $2 million gift, the second-largest in its history, from the Atlanta-based Goizueta Foundation.
The gift will be used to build the organization's capacity and establish a cash reserve fund, addressing two primary objectives in the organization's current strategic plan. In 2002, the foundation awarded the ballet a grant to create, with the Latin American Association, an Hispanic outreach initiative that grew to become one of the most successful outreach initiatives in the organization's history.
"This is a shining moment for our organization," said Arthur Jacobus, executive director of the ballet. "The impact this gift will have is huge; it echoes the goals we've outlined for the ballet's long-term growth and sustainability. Most importantly, it endorses our mission and recognizes our contributions to the community."
