Black Collective Foundation MN awards more than $1 million in grants
The Black Collective Foundation MN has announced more than $1 million in grants to 30 Black-led organizations, initiatives, and leaders.
Each organization, designated as “Black Led Change Partners,” will receive $50,000 in flexible funding to cover programs, organizational resiliency, and additional general operating needs. In addition, key leaders from each organization will receive a $10,000 grant to directly support the sustainability and growth of their leadership. Recipients include Nelima Sitati-Muene of African Career, Education, & Resources Inc. (ACER); Kimberly Handy Jones of the Cordale Q. Handy In Remembrance of Me Foundation (CQH Foundation); Johnny Allen Jr. of The JK Movement; and Kevin Reese of Until We Are All Free Movement, among others.
Over the next year, grantees will convene to build relationships in the spirit of strengthening the ecosystem of Black-led change in Minnesota.
