Bonfils-Stanton Foundation awards $1.9 million in arts grants
The Denver-based Bonfils-Stanton Foundation has announced grants totaling $1.9 million to twenty-one arts and culture organizations across the city.
Grants will assist with the ongoing COVID-19 recovery of the arts and culture sector. Recipients include RedLine Contemporary Art Center, which was awarded $600,000 over three years in support of its Arts in Society program; Colorado Ballet, which will receive $180,000 over three years in general operating support; Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, which was awarded $180,000 over three years in general operating support; the Denver Art Museum, which will receive $350,000 as part of the foundation's ten-year commitment to Vision 2021: North Building Renovation; and the Colorado Black Arts Movement, which was awarded $40,000 for start-up administrative costs in support of opening FreshLo/Arts.
"These twenty-one organizations continue to bring creativity and passion to Denver and its communities during a time when art and culture is so desperately needed to uplift our spirits, our voices, and bring us safely together," said Gina Ferrari, the foundation's grants program director. "The diversity of these organizations truly reflects our communities and contributes to Denver's vibrancy. We look forward to seeing our newer grantees' programs come to life along with exciting activities and seasons for our returning grantees."
