Cleveland Foundation Awards $2.2 Million in August Grants

The Cleveland Foundation has announced grants totaling $2.2 million in support of a variety of programs and initiatives in the greater Cleveland area.

Grants include $126,000 to Maximum Accessible Housing of Ohio to promote accessible housing solutions for people with mobility challenges, $28,400 in support of musical performances at five local churches, and capacity-building grants to the Beck Center for the Arts, DANCECleveland, and Heights Arts.

In addition, the foundation awarded $10,000 to College Now Greater Cleveland in support of its efforts to boost the number of adults in the region completing college; $60,000 to the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland to strengthen resident engagement with the Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood initiative; and $65,000 to Neighborhood Family Practice, which provides affordable health care to people on Cleveland’s West Side.
