Arizona

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona has announced that president and CEO Clint Mabie will retire at the end of the year. Over Mabie's decade-long tenure, the foundation has nearly doubled its assets under management to $165 million and quadrupled the amount it awards to local nonprofits each year.

California

The San Diego Foundation has announced a $50,000 grant from the San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund to enable the San Diego Immigrant Rights Consortium (SDIRC), a project of Alliance San Diego, to regrant $500 cash allowances to hundreds of immigrants who have lost their jobs or been furloughed. To date, more than twelve thousand people have submitted applications to the SDIRC Immigrant Relief Fund, while more than a thousand grants have been disbursed.

Colorado

Through the Colorado Chautauqua COVID-19 Relief Fund and COVID-19 Response Fund Boulder County, the Community Foundation Boulder County has announced support for the Creative Community Project, a virtual art auction fundraiser benefiting local artists. Launched by the Colorado Chautauqua Association, the online event engaged a hundred and twenty registered bidders and raised nearly $26,000.

Illinois

The DeKalb County Community Foundation has announced grants totaling $89,352 through the Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund in support of twenty-eight local nonprofits and community-based organizations delivering music education programming in the area. Grant recipients include the Fifth House Ensemble, Little Kids Rock, the Orion Ensemble, and the Special Gifts Theater.

Iowa

The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa at the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation has awarded $48,640 through its first funding cycle, the Daily Nonpareil reports. The five organizations receiving grants are Kids Place of Glenwood, Essex Child Center, Heartland Family Service, Centro Latino of Iowa, and Children's Square U.S.A.

Kansas

The Hutchinson Community Foundation has announced grants totaling $25,560 to three local nonprofit organizations. Recipients include the Hutchinson Art Center, USD 310 Fairfield, and Salthawk Community Support.

Oklahoma

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation has announced the addition of Charles Wiggin and Pete White to its board of trustees and the election of T. Scott Spradling as board chair.

Vermont

The Vermont Community Foundation has announced $3.6 million in place-based mission investments to expand access to affordable housing and strengthening the agricultural sector in the state. The loans and equity investments made by the foundation over the last four months resulted in $2.2 million for new affordable housing projects across the state and $1.4 million to secure the land base and expand markets for farmers in the state.

Wisconsin

The Basic Needs Giving Partnership has made an additional $5 million available to nonprofits through community foundations in Green Bay, Fox Valley, and Oshkosh. In addition, the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation announced that it still has $1.7 million available for local nonprofits and has allocated an additional $140,000 to its Emergency Response Fund.
