					Massachusetts
The Boston Foundation has announced that Randy Peeler, senior advisor at Berkshire Partners, will join Boston Foundation board member Raj Sharma of the Sharma Group at Merrill, as co-chairs of the foundation’s Annual Fund for Civic Leadership for 2024-25. The foundation aims to raise $3.5 million in this year’s campaign, which runs through June 2025.
Michigan
The Community Foundation of Greater Flint has announced the appointment of David R. McGhee as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective November 1. McGhee previously served as CEO of the Steve Fund and in key roles at the Schultz Family and Skillman foundations.
Montana
The Whitefish Community Foundation awarded nearly $6.68 million to 80 Flathead Valley nonprofit organizations during its recent Great Fish Awards, the Flathead Beacon reports. The total amount awarded included more than $5.4 million donated by individuals, families, organizations, and businesses during the five-week campaign, which stretched across August and September, and an additional $1,128,598 from the Great Fish Match. The foundation also awarded $129,950 in incentive grants and special awards, bringing the grand total awarded through this year’s Great Fish Community Challenge to an all-time high of $6,678,402.
Pennsylvania
The Chester County Community Foundation has announced that attorney Denise M. Antonelli has received its 2024 Door Opener Award, which recognizes professional advisors who advocate for and encourage legacy philanthropy, playing a pivotal role in expanding the foundation’s mission. The first woman to receive the award, Antonelli has made a significant impact as an attorney who has assisted clients with estate planning, estate administration, and trust administration for more than 30 years.
Vermont
The Opportunity Fund for Southshire Youth at the Vermont Community Foundation has announced a $100,000 matching grant challenge to expand support for dynamic and innovative youth programs in the Bennington area. A donor made the challenge grant to help develop the fund, which supports programs for middle and high-school age youth in Bennington, North Bennington, Pownal, Shaftsbury, and Woodford. The grants enable youth to connect and feel a sense of belonging while engaging in school, work, community, and life. Every dollar donated through the challenge is matched by the anonymous donor. The goal is to complete the challenge by the end of 2024 and generate $200,000 to support youth programs.
Wisconsin
The Eau Claire Community Foundation (ECCF) has announced that it received a Community Partner Award from Beaver Creek Reserve (BCR).
