Arizona

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona in Tucson has announced grants totaling $37,000 through its COVID-19 Community Support Fund to organizations working to provide emergency financial assistance to student-veterans; provide technology to vulnerable populations, including seniors and students; and create safe outdoor spaces for the community. Grant recipients include Better Together, Santa Cruz Training Programs, Support Education and Employment for Vets, and Tucson Botanical Gardens.

Colorado

The Community Foundation Boulder County has announced grants totaling nearly $300,000, including $100,000 in support of COVID-19 response efforts, more than $173,000 for human service organizations, and nearly $14,000 in civic engagement grants. To date, the foundation has awarded over $1.5 million in COVID-19 response grants. Grantees include Boulder County AIDS Project, Colorado Pet Pantry, the Cottonwood Institute, and Longmont Food Rescue.

Idaho

Chobani will award $200,000 to four Magic Valley community organizations through the Idaho Community Foundation, Yahoo! news reports.

Illinois

The Community Foundation for McHenry County will be relocating to Crystal Lake, the Northwest Herald reports. The new location will house a Philanthropy Center and is expected to heighten the organization's visibility and encourage more community engagement.

The Community Foundation of Central Illinois in Peoria has announced that it will award a third round of grants totaling up to $40,000 from its Ending Hunger Together program to address food insecurity across central Illinois. The deadline for Letters of Intent is November 24, with full proposals from select organizations due February 12.

Indiana

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie has received three grants totaling $85,500 in support of programming, staffing, and general operating costs, the Muncie Journal reports. The awards include $60,000 from the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County for out-of-school-time programs, $12,500 from the foundation's Harry and Janet Kitselman Fund, and $10,000 in general operating support.

Louisiana

The Greater New Orleans Foundation has announced that it is accepting donations to its Disaster Response & Restoration Fund for Hurricane Zeta relief and recovery efforts. Since March, GNOF has disbursed nearly $4 million from the fund to nonprofits mounting response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic and hurricanes Laura, Marco, and Beta.

Minnesota

The Minneapolis Foundation is accepting applications to its Reimagine Education initiative, which is focused on boosting student and community leadership and power building, creating culturally responsive and inclusive schools, and addressing structural barriers to racial equity in the region’s educational system. The deadline to apply is 1:00 p.m. on December 10.

Montana

The Yellowstone Club Community Foundation in Bozeman has appointed Ciara Wolfe to the recently established position of vice president of philanthropy, Explore Big Sky reports. Wolfe most recently served as executive director of the Big Sky Community Organization and is an elected member of the Big Sky Resort Tax Area District Board.

New Mexico

Ohio

The Dayton Foundation has announced that it will celebrate its centennial with a yearlong celebration starting November 12. The celebration will kick off with a free program, available via its website and Facebook page, featuring performances by the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra's brass quintet and the Grammy-nominated chorus from Central State University; stories from Dayton Foundation fund holders; a spoken-word performance marking the foundation's anniversary; and an update on the impact of funds created to address 2019's tragedies and disasters.

South Carolina

The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry has announced COVID-related grants totaling $125,000 to six local nonprofits. In August, the town of Hilton Head Island was awarded $378,000 by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to help low-to moderate-income families impacted by the virus with rent, utility payments, food, transportation, child care, education, and other needs. The latest grants represent a second round of funding from the federal allocation and include support for Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity, Mental Health America of Beaufort/Jasper, Sandalwood Community Food Pantry, and the Literacy Center.
