Council on Foundations Announces 2011-12 Career Pathways Program Participants
The Council on Foundations has announced the names of twelve promising leaders selected to participate in its 2011-12 Career Pathways program, which is designed to foster talent and excellence at the philanthropic sector's most senior levels.
The one-year program is designed to help individuals from diverse backgrounds gain the knowledge and experience necessary to assume leadership positions of increased responsibility in the philanthropic arena. Participants will engage in self-directed career planning, present research during group-learning sessions, go on site visits, receive one-on-one executive coaching and mentoring, and undertake leadership projects.
"The Career Pathways program offers participants the essential tools and resources that leaders require to have greater impact within the philanthropic sector," said Council on Foundations vice president of professional development, diversity, and inclusion Ren�e B. Branch. "This professional development program combines facilitated learning opportunities with network and skills building for leaders who will help drive the sector's efforts to improve lives and communities."
