Covenant Medical Center Receives $2.84 Million
The Covenant Foundation in Waterloo, Iowa, has announced gifts totaling $2.84 million to Covenant Medical Center in support of several projects.
Contributions from the Otto Schoitz Foundation and others will support a range of projects and upgrades at the 366-bed multi-specialty medical center, which is part of the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare system. Among other things, the gifts will provide more than $1 million for renovations and equipment upgrades in the cardiology department; $900,000 for a new clinic in Independence, Iowa; $360,000 to establish a behavioral health room in the CMC emergency department; $231,308 for upgrades to the pediatric clinic; $230,100 for technology upgrades in the family birth center; and $70,300 for a redesign of the podiatry department.
"Covenant Foundation is now more important than ever based on healthcare conditions identified among those we serve," said the foundation’s board chair, Don Temeyer. "We are blessed and extremely thankful to all of our gracious donors to be able to provide this gift to Covenant Medical Center."
