DAFgiving360 donors award more than $7.7 billion in 2024
Donor-advised fund (DAF) provider DAFgiving360 (formerly Schwab Charitable) has announced that its donors awarded more than $7.7 billion to charity in 2024, a 25 percent increase ($1.5 billion) year-over-year.
Donors provided more than 1.3 million grants in support of 151,000 individual nonprofits. Contributions included more than $175 million in disaster relief. Seventy-two percent of grant recommendations were unrestricted, empowering organizations to quickly deploy the funds where they were most needed, and one out of every three allocations were set up as a recurring grant. In addition, 83 percent of donors directed funds within their home state.
“We are humbled by the incredible generosity of our DAFgiving360 donors and grateful that they entrust our solution to support their charitable giving goals,” said DAFgiving360 managing director of relationship management, marketing, and partnerships Fred Kaynor. “For every contribution made in 2024, donors recommended 10 grants to charities, at a pace of $21 million in grants on average each day.”
