Edward Jones announces commitment of $150 million
Edward Jones has announced a commitment of $150 million in corporate, foundation, and associate philanthropic contributions in support of communities across the United States and Canada through 2025.
In its third annual Purpose, Inclusion, and Citizenship Report, Deeply Invested, the financial services firm highlighted several key initiatives, including commitments to raise $50 million over ten years in support of the Alzheimer's Association and to educate an estimated one million adults and youth through the firm's Financial Fitness program. The pledge includes $80 million toward inclusive growth and community well-being in the St. Louis area, where the company is based.
In 2020, Edward Jones contributed $25.7 million nationally (including $16 million in St. Louis) through corporate, foundation, and associate philanthropic support.
"This report is a tangible demonstration of Edward Jones's purpose and culture in action in the communities we serve," said Kristin Johnson, the firm's chief human resource officer and chief transformation officer. “Being purpose-driven means working together across our seven million clients, our fifty thousand associates, and the thousands of communities across North America to serve the needs of others and make the world a better place. It is with deliberate intent that we strive to create opportunities for our internal and external stakeholders, and as we look ahead to our next hundred years, we seek to ensure each action drives measurable impact."
