The Dohmen Company Foundation in Milwaukee has announced a $1 million commitment to FoodCorps in support of its initiative to expand food education and access to students across the United States.

FoodCorps’ Nourishing Futures initiative aims to ensure that all 50 million elementary and secondary students in the United States have food education and access to nourishing, free meals in school by 2030. The gift will enable FoodCorps to expand its school-based programs in Missouri and Michigan, boosting access to hands-on food education for more than 16,000 additional students and school meals programming to another 50,000 students.

“Ensuring that all 50 million students in the country have access to nourishing, free meals is no small feat, but it is through the support from organizations like the Dohmen Company Foundation that will help us achieve our ambitious goal and that it is within reach,” said FoodCorps president and co-CEO Robert S. Harvey. “We are honored and thankful that the Dohmen Company Foundation shares our vision and believes in our mission to provide this generous gift that will propel our movement forward.”
