Gross Family Foundation announces $17.1 million in grants

The William, Jeff and Jennifer Gross Family Foundation has announced that it awarded grants totaling $17.1 million in 2021.

Awarded to forty-five local and global nonprofits working in the foundation’s three primary focus areas of humanitarian efforts, education, and health care, 2021 grants included $3 million to Doctors Without Borders, $2.5 million to Harbor Day School, $2 million to Atrium Health Foundation , $1.5 million to the VII Foundation, $1.5 million to the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, $1 million to Action Against Hunger, and $1 million to the Wilcox Health Foundation. Recipients in Laguna Beach, where Gross, co-founder of Newport Beach-based PIMCO, has a home and has been a longtime benefactor, include the Laguna Beach Community Clinic, the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts, the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, and Sally’s Fund.

“My family, my wife Amy and I are blessed to live in a place as beautiful and artistically supportive as Laguna Beach,” said Gross. “Our family believes in giving back to a community that has given so much to us and other residents over the years.”
