Hyundai to award $13 million for pediatric cancer research in 2021

Hyundai Motor America has announced it will award a total of $13 million in support of pediatric cancer research in 2021.

Grants will be awarded through Hyundai Hope On Wheels to eligible members of the Children's Oncology Group pursuing critical research aimed at improving cancer treatments. Over the past twenty-three years, the organization has awarded $185 million in support of efforts to end childhood cancer.

"With already scarce resources being used to support the ongoing COVID-19 response, children's hospitals nationwide are in greater need of critical pediatric cancer research funds," said Scott Fink, chair of the Hyundai Hope On Wheels board of directors. "Children battling cancer deserve the opportunity to lead long, healthy lives, and the doctors and researchers working tirelessly to treat them need our support."
