The Indiana Bar Foundation has announced grants totaling more than $3.6 million to 13 local organizations providing civil legal services to low-income state residents.

Grant recipients include Pro Bono Indiana ($1.5 million), Indiana Legal Services ($917,848), Indianapolis Legal Aid Society ($361,647), Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic ($344,745), and Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana ($166,079). In addition to the grants, two scholarships were awarded to students at Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

“Funding these outstanding civil legal assistance providers and supporting individuals interested in a legal career reflects the foundation’s commitment to direct funding where it has the greatest impact,” said Indiana Bar Foundation president Charles Dunlap.
