Intuitive Foundation receives $45 million for health, education work
Intuitive, a California-based global medical technology company, has announced a $45 million commitment to its philanthropic arm, the Intuitive Foundation in support of its mission to “reduce the global burden of disease and suffering” through philanthropy, research, and education.
The foundation awards grants for medical research, STEM educational programs, training, surgical fellowships, and healthcare training programs and facilities. Since its inception in 2018, the foundation has committed more than $65 million in grants. The latest gift boosts the company’s contributions to the foundation to more than $170 million.
“Amplifying the voice of Intuitive employees and the causes that are meaningful to them is a key pillar of the Intuitive Foundation’s philanthropic giving,” said Intuitive Foundation president Catherine Mohr. “Additionally, in 2024, we were able to provide research grants and surgical fellowships totaling more than $6 million, and we were able to contribute $3 million to support the Surgical Education Learners Forum, which develops training modules for clinicians in low-resource settings.”
