Lehigh University receives $8 million from anonymous donors
Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has announced an $8 million donation from anonymous donors to renovate and expand the Goodman Campus Athletics Complex.
The gift, made by parents of a current Lehigh student-athlete, will bolster the $30 million expansion of the Cundey Varsity House, as well as the design plans for a new indoor field facility to be located directly behind the varsity house. The university expects the new facility to house a roughly 94,000-square-foot turf field and accommodate full-scale training for all Lehigh field sports, including lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, and football.
“I’m inspired by the athletics here and inspired by what Lehigh does to produce leaders that will ultimately have an impact on our country going forward,” the anonymous donor said. “Athletics done right is a foundation that catapults you into being better at embracing those moments.”
