Mastercard has announced a $25 million commitment in support of equitable access to and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines around the world.

The commitment builds on Mastercard's support for global COVID-19 response efforts and includes data resources, grants, and employee volunteers. To that end, the financial services company is partnering with Global Citizen to raise funds for the Gavi-administered COVAX AMC and is encouraging consumers to get involved by incentivizing participation in the VAX Live campaign, donations to which made with a Citi Mastercard will be double-matched through May 16.

"Mastercard remains committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals and rebuilding an inclusive and sustainable economy for everyone, everywhere."
