The Moody Foundation in Galveston, Texas, has announced the 32 inaugural recipients of grants through its M-Pact Fund in support of education across the state.

The M-Pact Fund is part of the foundation’s 20-year commitment to invest $1 billion to fund learning opportunities for children and bolster student success statewide. In addition to grant funding, recipients will engage in a foundation-sponsored network designed to encourage collaboration and the sharing of best practices—the first annual convening will take place in 2025.

According to the foundation, its latest grantees—the first of two cohorts to be awarded in 2024—serve more than 2.9 million people. Recipients include Catch Up & Read (Dallas), Good Reason Houston, Transformation Waco, and Young Women’s Preparatory Network (Dallas). Grant amounts were not disclosed.

“Through the M-Pact Fund, the foundation is supporting some of the most promising and impactful education initiatives across the state,” said Moody Foundation vice president for education Courtney Rogers. “By uniting these groups through an intentional, collaborative network, we can foster transformational change.”
