NCN receives $3.3 million from Fidelity Charitable for new program
The National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) has announced a multiyear grant of $3.3 million from the Fidelity Charitable Trustees’ Initiative (FCTI) to launch its Leading from Strength program.
Designed to reinforce and expand the work of state associations of nonprofits, the program will help ensure that nonprofits across the country have the information and resources they need to advance their missions. To that end, the initiative will ensure a strong network to aid nonprofits as they navigate ongoing challenges.
“People tend to focus their attention on what’s happening in Washington, D.C., but the real action is in the states. That truth will be compounded and much more obvious soon, given the trend of recent Supreme Court decisions and with divided government over the next couple years,” said NCN president and CEO Tim Delaney. “The Leading from Strength program will allow us to make strategic investments in our nationwide network of nonprofits that will foster collaboration, innovation, and the long-term health of the state associations of nonprofits and their leaders.”
