NFL Foundation awards $3.5 million to New Orleans nonprofits
The NFL Foundation and the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee have announced grants totaling $3.5 million in support of 65 organizations that assist underserved communities in the New Orleans area.
This year’s Super Bowl Legacy Program, Impact 59 Powered by Entergy, will support local nonprofits working in support of education, health and wellness, social justice, and youth and young adults. The grants are funded through joint contributions from the NFL Foundation and the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee and its partners.
“Through the Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program, we aim to ensure the NFL makes a positive community impact that lasts long after the final whistle of the Super Bowl,” said Alexia Gallagher, NFL vice president of philanthropy and executive director of the NFL Foundation. “We are honored to have worked with the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee to recognize and support these fantastic nonprofit organizations in their continued efforts to uplift underserved communities across the greater New Orleans area.”
