Nomi Health, a direct healthcare company, has announced the launch of a charitable foundation dedicated to expanding access to high-quality affordable health care across the United States. 

Since its founding in 2019, Nomi Health has donated $11 million to nonprofits and is seeding the Nomi Health Charitable Foundation with an additional $5 million. The foundation will focus on four key areas: healthcare equity, financial health and literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, and community social determinants of health.

Its signature Frontline Futures Program will assist students and young professionals pursuing careers in health care by offering tuition assistance, mentorship opportunities, and wraparound services for traditionally underserved individuals who are beginning their careers in frontline healthcare roles. The first phase of the program will be implemented with local partners in three states where Nomi Health operates: Miami Dade College in Florida; Goodwill Industries Serving Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa in Omaha, Nebraska; and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement in Hawaii.

That’s why we’re launching the Nomi Health Charitable Foundation to formalize our years-long commitment to take on the deeply rooted inequalities in our broken healthcare system and to uplift those who have been left behind.”
