Schwab Foundation awards 2025 Social Entrepreneurs of the Year
The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship has announced its 2025 cohort of Social Entrepreneurs of the Year.
Announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Schwab Foundation’s Social Innovation Awards are presented to social entrepreneurs, as well as social innovators within the public, corporate, and collective sectors where solutions are developed on a collaborative framework. A total of 18 social entrepreneurs and innovators from 15 organizations spanning 13 countries were chosen for their work driving systemic change worldwide.
Among the recipients were three former Echoing Green fellows: Muzalema Mwanza, Vineet Singal, and Akshay Saxena. Mwanza is the co-founder of Safe Motherhood Alliance. Singal is the co-founder of CareMessage. Saxena is co-founder of Avanti Fellows. Mwanza, Singal, and Saxena were awarded Echoing Green Fellowships in 2013, 2020, and 2012 respectively to help launch their organizations.
“It is a great privilege to introduce the 2025 Schwab Foundation Awardees, a remarkable group of social entrepreneurs and innovators who embody integrity, humility and positive values in their work,” said Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship co-founder and chair Hilde Schwab. “Their extraordinary achievements reflect on the broader community of leading social entrepreneurs and innovators dedicated to fighting social inequalities and preserving natural ecosystems."
