Sinai Hospital, part of the LifeBridge Health hospital system in Baltimore, has announced a $5 million gift from Mandy and Dennis Weinman in support of the construction of a consolidated outpatient cancer treatment center.

The gift is part of a larger fundraising effort by LifeBridge, which is working to raise an additional $15 million for development of the three-story, 125,000-square-foot facility, which will include 39 infusion bays for chemotherapy and other treatments, 22 exam rooms, radiation oncology suites, and other services for outpatient care. The building will house the Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institute and the Pediatric Oncology Center. Construction is planned to begin this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 at a cost of $95 million. In recognition of the gift, the building will be named after the couple.

“We all know someone who has been impacted by cancer and have seen firsthand how precious a commodity time can be during the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery phases,” said Mandy Weinman. “Having all these resources in one place will help patients get the care they need efficiently and effectively so they draw strength from spending more time with their families and doing the things they love.”
