Sloan Foundation announces 2022 Research Fellowships
The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in New York City has announced the recipients of the 2022 Sloan Research Fellowships.
Awarded annually since 1955, the fellowships support innovative researchers in the fields of chemistry, computer science, Earth system science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, and physics with a prize of $75,000, which may be spent over a two-year term on any research-related expense. Candidates are nominated by their fellow scientists, with winners selected by independent panels of senior scholars. The 2022 cohort includes 118 fellows from 51 institutions across the United States and Canada.
“Colleges and universities with Fellows on their faculty should feel incredibly proud,” said Sloan Research Fellowship program director Daniel L. Goroff. “These institutions vary in size, mission, and other characteristics, but they are all attracting extraordinary people and then allowing them to flourish in remarkable ways.”
