Soloviev Foundation awards $250,000 to fight child sexual exploitation
The Soloviev Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Soloviev Group, has announced a $250,000 commitment to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to create an international platform related to combatting child exploitation.
The Global Child Sexual Exploitation Policy Platform will serve as an information-sharing and advocacy clearinghouse on global policy issues impacting children who are being sexually abused and exploited around the world. In addition, it will provide recommendations for legislators and policy makers, NGOs, media, and the public concerning global policies impacting online child sexual exploitation. In 2021 alone, NCMEC received more than 29 million reports of child sexual exploitation, more than 90 percent of which originated outside of the United States.
“Child sexploitation is a global and growing problem,” said Soloviev Group chairman Stefan Soloviev. “The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is the leading organization fighting sexploitation and sextortion of minors. The Soloviev Foundation is pleased to help establish this platform that can bring a unified global approach to child sexploitation and sextortion.”
