Special People Special Needs Foundation Receives $2 Million Gift

The Special People Special Needs Foundation in Denver has announced a $2 million gift from Brian Stevens and his family.

Announced during an event at which Samantha Stevens was named World Ambassador and received an award from the foundation, the gift will support SPSNF's efforts to assist people with special needs such as intellectual or physical disabilities. As ambassador, Stevens, who has Down syndrome, will advocate for people around the world who are considered different, with her travels and photos to be documented on the SPSNF website.

"We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity of the Stevens family and deeply grateful for this incredible donation," said SPSNF president and CEO Trish Morris. "Thanks to their charitable contribution, as well as many others who generously donated, we will be able to start new programs and expand our reach to communicate, educate, and advocate for those we are privileged to serve. We really want to bring the special needs communities together to be one powerful voice, sharing resources and celebrating the millions of people who are considered different, by showing that we are all people first and are all different and unique."
