Springer School receives $3 million matching pledge

The Springer School and Center in Hyde Park, Ohio, has announced a pledge of $3 million from philanthropists Harry and Linda Fath.

Their pledge, a matching gift, was made during the silent phase of the Cincinnati-area organization’s capital campaign, which is now $400,000 shy of its $15 million goal. To date, more than 150 donors have contributed to the campaign, which is aimed at expanding Springer’s ability to serve the region through three key initiatives: financial aid; capital building to increase learning spaces for the school and the center to serve more students, parents, and educators; and expansion.

“It’s brutal to be in a class and you can’t do the work, and you feel like an idiot,” said Harry Fath. “A place like this can save a kid’s life.”
