St. Baldrick’s Foundation awards $9.4 million for cancer research

St. Baldrick’s Foundation in Monrovia, California, has announced grants totaling $9.4 million in support of childhood cancer research.

The foundation’s most recent grants will support 23 projects investigating childhood cancer treatments and emphasize the foundation’s commitment to provide essential funding for research from early discovery to advanced clinical trials. Recipients include University of Alabama at Birmingham; University of California San Diego; Emory University in Atlanta; Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis; Baylor College of Medicine in Houston; University of Washington in Seattle; and Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C.

Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded over $352 million in support of childhood cancer research.
