St. David's Foundation Awards Nearly $27 Million to Texas Nonprofits

The St. David’s Foundation in Austin, Texas, has announced  grants totaling more than $26.8 million to local nonprofit organizations working to provide healthcare-related services to residents of central Texas.

The grants include more than $12 million to twenty-one organizations awarded through the foundation's Healthy People program, which supports safety net clinics that provide a range of medical services to low-income members of the region. The foundation also awarded more than $11.5 million to organizations through its Healthy Minds program, which provides support to mental health programs  serving adults, children, and families; and more than $2.5 million through its Healthy Smiles program,  the largest charitable dental services program in the country.

"With this precedent-setting amount," said St. David's Foundation CEO Earl Maxwell, "St. David's is investing significant funds in addressing some of the most pressing healthcare needs in our community."
