Tull Family Foundation awards $1 million to Yellowstone Forever

Yellowstone Forever has announced a $1 million gift from Thomas Tull and the Tull Family Foundation to address needs of the ecosystem, biodiversity, native fish population, and trail repair of Yellowstone National Park.

Yellowstone National Park will mark its one hundred fiftieth anniversary in 2022. Primarily located in Wyoming but encompassing parts of Montana and Idaho, the park is home to more than a thousand miles of trails, more than ten thousand thermal features, the largest concentration of mammals in the lower forty-eight states, and numerous rivers and lakes. The gift includes $500,000 to rehabilitate the park's trails and overlooks from the years of erosion and visitation and the remaining $500,000 will be used to help restore ecosystem balance, enhance biodiversity, and reestablish the native fish populations.

"Thomas's passion and dedication are admirable," said Yellowstone Forever president and CEO Lisa Diekmann. "His gift is making a lasting investment that will help preserve Yellowstone National Park forever and help solve pivotal issues impacting the park."
