The University of Dayton’s (UD) Center for Catholic Education has announced a $1.5 million gift from Peggy and Victor Dubrowski to help prepare educators with a Catholic worldview.

The center’s three flagship programs—ECHO, Lalanne, and the Saint Remy Initiative—address critical needs in Catholic education and will benefit from the funding. The Dubrowskis have a long history of supporting UD, including regular contributions to the Theresa Enneking Kohmescher scholarship fund—from which Peggy Dubrowski benefitted from as an undergraduate—and the Lalanne program, which places teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools for a two-year commitment.

“Catholic schools need educators who teach and inspire, blending faith and learning in ways that truly shape students’ lives,” said University of Dayton provost Darlene Weaver. “This generous gift will help us support Catholic educators and students for the long term.”
