The University of Kansas has announced a $50 million commitment in support of the KU School of Business from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous.

Made in honor of the school’s recent and historical accomplishments, the largest gift in the business school’s history is focused on several key priorities and initiatives, including faculty professorships and fellowships and the school’s recently revamped entrepreneurship programs. Awarded through a newly endowed fund, the gift will support career-focused opportunities within the school’s EY Professionalism Program as well as scholarship, retention, and programmatic efforts among its study abroad, academic enrichment, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs.

“While a gift of this size is certainly newsworthy, it’s what this gift will enable that is truly worth noting,” said KU Endowment president Dan Martin. “The impact of such a sizable gift will have a ripple effect that extends well beyond this current moment in time. We are honored and humbled by the donor’s choice to invest in the School of Business and look forward to sharing future success stories that will be written because of their generosity.”
