The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation has announced grants totaling $6 million through its Priority Markets Program to revitalize neighborhoods that have yet to fully recover from the Great Recession.

Sixty-nine organizations will receive support for projects aimed at stimulating investment in distressed neighborhoods across the country. The grants can be used for any expense associated with a development or redevelopment project. Recipients include the Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity; Mountain Housing Opportunities in Asheville, North Carolina; Fort Wayne Habitat for Humanity in Indiana; and the Little Haiti Housing Association in Miami.

"Wells Fargo is pleased to support these nonprofits that are leading efforts to revitalize and position neighborhoods for long-term success," said Wells Fargo Housing Foundation executive director Martin Sundquist. "The Priority Markets Program is one of thousands of ways we work together with nonprofits to support local communities."
