Wichita State University Receives $5 Million for Business School

Wichita State University has announced a $5 million gift from an anonymous donor toward construction of a new building for its W. Frank Barton School of Business.

With the gift, the university has now raised  $26.7 million toward its goal of $50 million in private funding for the project — including a $10 million commitment from Wayne Woolsey and his wife, Kay, earlier this year. The complex will replace Clinton Hall, which was built in 1970, and will be designed to drive the kind of applied learning experiences that enable students to be career-ready upon graduation.

"This donor recognizes the value of Wichita State having a top-tier business school and a learning environment conducive to preparing tomorrow’s business leaders," said WSU Foundation president and CEO Elizabeth King. "We are deeply grateful for this donor’s trust and confidence in WSU and our future."
