Wyatt Ranches awards $2 million in grants to South Texas organizations

Wyatt Ranches Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $2 million to South Texas organizations, the Alice Echo-News Journal reports. 

The latest grants include $514,000 to the Duval County Emergency Services to purchase two new ambulances; $23,000 to Neighbors Offering Animals Hope for its animal rescue activities, adoption services, and spay neuter program; $97,000 to the Weslaco Police Department in support of its crisis management canine program; and $1 million to University of Texas Health in support of its emergency medicine programs. 

The foundation is the philanthropic arm of Wyatt Ranches, which manages six cattle ranching divisions across southern and western Texas.
