About the Organization:
Founded in 1996 as the Association of Small Foundations, Exponent Philanthropy was re-launched in 2014 as a membership organization that works to help foundations with little or no staff, high-net-worth individuals, and giving circles maximize the effectiveness of their giving. Members of the organization can connect with peers and advisors as well as access educational programs, online tools, and a variety of giving data.

Current Programs:
The organization's programs include the Next Gen Fellows Program, a six-month fellowship designed to bring individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who are currently (or soon-to-be) involved in a private foundation as a trustee or staff member up to speed on a variety of topics, including governance and legal basics, investment and grantmaking strategies, advocacy, and managing change. For senior executives at small foundations, the year-long Master Juggler Executive Institute provides a combination of leadership training, executive coaching, and peer networking. The organization also offers seminars and educational programs, webinars, and online chats, as well as an annual conference.
